Registration of software copyright

Register for copyright protection of software is an important task to protect the rights of authors and the rights to exploit value or do business from the software.

Ha Do Law shall give procedures of registration of software copyright as follows:

If registration is the owner and the author / co-author, necessary papers for copyright registration include:

• Three CDs recording the software
• Three stapled hard copies of the software
• Power of attorney of the author / co-author (with signature of the authorities at the residence, notarization of office or human resource agency - 1 copy);
• Copy of identity card  of the author / authors (ID card enclosed for comparison in case of no certified copy) of the author / authors of the certified true copies;
• Full name, pseudonym (if any), address, phone number, fax of the author / co-author.

If registration is not the owner and the author / co-author, necessary papers for copyright registration include:

• Three CDs recording the software
• Three stapled hard copies of the software
• Power of attorney of the organization or company (1 copy)
• Transfer letter of the work of the author / authors to organization or company (with signature); or certificate for registration work is being carried out according to work tasks (1 copy)
• A notarized copy of Establishment License of Organization or Company, and Business Registration License (1 copy)
• Full name, pseudonym (if any), address, phone number, fax of the author / co-author, organization or company.
• Copy of identity card  of the author / authors (ID card enclosed for comparison in case of no certified copy) of the author / authors of the certified true copies – 1 copy)
• Commitment letter of the author
